Christopher Vernon, is a founding partner of the Vernon Healy law firm. For more than 20 years, Mr. Vernon has focused his practice on the litigation and arbitration of complex business and financial matters, including securities fraud disputes. During that time, Mr. Vernon has consistently advocated for the rights of investors throughout the United States and abroad—both in and out of the courtroom and arbitration hearing room.
He has recovered millions for individual investors and groups of investors with significant losses, including punitive damages, attorney’s fees, and amounts in substantial excess of client losses. Susan R. Healy is a founding partner of Vernon Healy who represents individuals and businesses in cases involving financial disputes. Ms. Healy has over 25 years experience practicing in civil, criminal and appellate courts and before arbitration panels. She brings that background and depth of experience to Vernon Healy, where she concentrates her practice in the areas of business litigation, securities/investment litigation and arbitration, and appellate law, with a particular emphasis on representing investors who have suffered losses as a result of business ventures, securities transactions and real estate deals.
Ms. Healy has been named by her peers as one of The Best Lawyers in America in the area of securities law and is one of è Bella magazine’s Women to Watch. She was elected and currently serves as the President of the Florida Association for Women Lawyers (FAWL). FAWL is a statewide organization comprised of 29 local chapters. Current FAWL members include representatives from Florida’s judicial, legal and political communities, including members of the Florida Supreme Court and the Florida Senate and House of Representatives. Victor Bayata is an associate with Vernon Healy. He focuses his practice in the areas of business and investment litigation, arbitration (including FINRA arbitration), employment disputes involving financial advisors and other investment professionals, and other securities related matters.
Mr. Bayata currently assists clients in recovering losses caused by all manner of financial fraud and negligence involving a wide variety of investment related matters, including structured products and real estate investment trusts (REITs).
Mr. Bayata also represents multiple brokers and financial advisors in employment related disputes.
