Susan Healy has been re-elected Treasurer of the Florida Association for Woman Lawyers (FAWL) for the 2009-10 term. Ms. Healy was originally appointed to the position in 2007.
FAWL has more than 2,000 members located and 21 local chapters located throughout the state of Florida.
FAWL was formed for the following purposes:
(1) to promote the recognition and encouragement of the contributions of women within the legal profession,
(2) to improve the administration of justice and to elevate judicial standards,
(3) to promote the study of law,
(4) to distribute legal knowledge to the general public, and
(5) to improve relations between the bar, the judiciary, and the general public.
Ms. Healy also serves on the Board of Directors and as the Secretary of the local FAWL chapter, the Collier County
